Referring to your letter No. A/7866/2 of the 21st. May last, I am directed to state that this Government proposes to define the area over which clearance rights are required as "the ground below the Battery, west of a line running due North and South through the extreme North East angle of the area occupied by the War Department for defence purposes (marked A on the enclosed plan)".
This line is a few yards East of the summit of Mount Davis as shown by the Admiralty Chart, but the summit is not a well defined point. I am to enquire whether the Military Authori-
-ties concur in this definition.
